Progress...One step at a time

Well I made some progress today. One goal that I didn't mention, but kind of did, was that I am wanting to do more with Zumba.
One thing being going to to ZIN conference in August. But also, hosting a Zumbathon. There is a opportunity to host a Zumbathon for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) before the end of February. And I want to do it!

So I made one step forward. The first thing I needed to do was figure out when I wanted to do it. And then I had to call the facility I where I wanted to do it and reserve a space. And....well....I DID IT! And let me just say, that is actually a big step for me. There are some things that I say I want to do and can do them. But they are usually smaller things. Or someone else ends up doing it. If that makes any sense. And it's not that I don't do anything I set out to do. I don't know if I can actually explain. But just so you know it's kind of big for me. So anyway, I called them and reserved February 16th! I am so excited! Now there are way more plans that need to happen. But I did make the first step!

And the second thing I did today was buy shoes!! Now of course for a woman that's not a big deal. But they were specific shoes. They were running shoes! One of my goals is to start running. J has been trying it for awhile, but now we are going to do it together. Deebs told me about an app that she used to get her started. So I have downloaded that, got a pair of running shoes....and now J and I are ready to start off! Now we haven't yet, but it's a start! Running is a big step for me as I have never really liked it before. But I have my inspiration (Deebs) and my wonderful husband to push me along.

Anyway, take this as you will. But in my book I made quite a bit of progress today. And I can go to bed knowing that.

Night!
