Let me explain, no there is too much

Let me sum up...

I seemed to have completely fallen off the fitness/nutrition wagon. And part of me felt like I was just let off, not so much a pushed off. An I am not saying I am not doing anything. I mean I still do my Wednesday night Zumba. And sometimes I do the Pilates on Tuesday before teaching Irish. But I feel like I lost my enthusiasm and I don't know why. I was so gungho about it.

So I am starting over. No one ever said that because the new was of the new year is I over, you can't try again to stick to your goals, right? Right! I saw this thing on Pinterest yesterday that I think I want to implement. They say it takes 21 days to develop a habit. You put the numbers 1-21 on individual post-its and stick them to someplace you will see in defending order. Then every day you do the habit, you take a post-it off. So I am making a 21 day challenge for fitness. I figure if I do at least some type of physical activity that I deem fitness worthy for 21 days, I will create a good habit of fitness. And I am only doing fitness, because if I try to do more than one task, I will get frustrated and will be doing too much.

Okay on to my next subject. I don't want you to get the idea that because of my previous paragraph that I have fallen off all of my goals. I actually accomplished one of them this past weekend!

After several weeks of work and planning....the Zumbathon happened! I can't believe it! 23 people came and I had 4 instructors including me rocking it out for 2 hours! I ended up raising $509 towards ALS! I am so happy! I can now say I have organized a fundraiser! And it went off very well. I am hoping that I can do another one later this year. Or more than one!

And because of the Zumbathon, I may actually be able to kickstart another which is to be more involved in Zumba. I am in talks with another instructor to start doing Zumbatomic and AquaZumba! I am already certified In Zumbatomic. I just need to get certified in AquaZumba. How cool is that?!

Okay I am tired.....Night!

  1. That is all very cool! And you are correct, every day is a day to start new again. :) I love the 21 day challenge idea! Doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred was what actually built the habit for me. If you'd like I can have N add it to our Plex so you can use it xoxo
